A Community Response to Family Homelessness

Interfaith Hospitality Network

What is Family Promise hosting?

An interfaith network of congregations is involved in hosting, supporting and mentoring families. There are multiple ways for your congregation to get involved. Please see our FPHCR Brochure2017 for information.

Hosting Congregation

Hosting families at your facility can be one of the most life-changing things you do as a person. Instead of going somewhere to serve, the families actually come to your congregation. You can make a meal, stay overnight, drive the van, do laundry…you can even serve as a family!

Please see our Hosting Covenant 2016 or contact staff for more information to see if this would be an option for your congregation.

Our Volunteer Handbook also provides information you need to know to host!

Partner Congregation

Not every congregation has the facility or manpower to host families. That’s why we have partners. Your congregation can partner with another congregation to help the families. You can make a meal, stay overnight, drive the van, do laundry…you can even serve as a family!

Please see our Partnering Covenant 2016 or contact staff for more information to see if this would be an option for your congregation.

Supporting Congregation

Not all congregations can participate in our interfaith network, but there are opportunities to donate items or monies to the program. Congregations can also help the program by doing a group project at the Day Center, such as painting or gardening.

Please contact staff for more information about these options.2015 Annual Report
